    See photos for condition and contents.  This thermometer is previously owned and shows only minor wear - just a few small spots and scratches and tiny spots of the gold have worn off in the VO.    Parts of the backing have been ripped off on the back (see last 3 photos).  The thermometer seems to work fine.   I do not know the age, but possibly from the 1960s.   The 1/4" thick backing looks like leather, but it is imitation.  It measures 16 3/8" x 4 3/4" and weighs about 10 ounces.
