Home Made HOOK TOOL 12" Long Unique Rough Turned Wooden Handle Unknown Use

Home Made Hook Tool of some sort, in clean condition.  It measures 12" long, weighs 4.6 Oz, and has rough turned wooden handle.  The hook is hand forged iron with a tang inside the handle.  Maybe it was for ice skate lace tightening?  Early wire puller tool?  Fish Gaff?  Your guess is as good as mine, but you may need something like this for your own needs, so make it yours today!
